Who we are
Raye Technology LLC is a software development company. It was founded by Jacob Fishman.
We design and build apps. Our first is Tirly, which blocks the apps you would rather not open, and does it best when your friends are around. Tirly is written for Android first, and an iPhone version is in development. Neither is on a store yet.
What mindful use means to us
Most apps are built to be opened as often as possible. We would rather build ones that help you put the phone down when it matters, and that stay honest about how they do it.
In practice that means a few things we hold ourselves to:
- An app asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, and says why on screen before it asks.
- What can be worked out on your phone is worked out on your phone.
- No ads, no analytics libraries, and nothing about you is sold.
- Privacy policies describe what the app actually does, in plain words.
